Purpose of Access
Access to the above-mentioned database is granted for research, academic, educational,
policy analysis, scholarly and related purposes. By registering you acknowledge and accept the
terms and conditions governing access to and use of the database. User activity on this website
may be monitored and analysed to better understand usage patterns, improve functionality, and
enhance the overall user experience.
1. Permitted Use
I acknowledge and agree that the data contained in the database may be used for legitimate
research activities and related scholarly outputs, including research reports; academic
presentations; policy briefings; conference papers; journal articles; theses and dissertations;
and other scholarly publications. When using the data for any form of dissemination,
acknowledge the source in the following way: Data source: STI Funding Database, CREST,
Stellenbosch University.
2. Prohibition of Commercial Use
I acknowledge and agree that the data contained in the database shall not be used, directly or
indirectly, for any commercial purpose, private financial benefit, or other for-profit activity.
3. Breach of Agreement
I acknowledge that any breach of this Agreement may result in the immediate termination of my
access to the database.
Declaration and Acceptance
I hereby declare that I have read and understood the terms and conditions set out in this
Agreement. I agree to comply fully with these conditions and acknowledge that access to the
database is granted subject to my adherence thereto.
